Praise for Christine Tellach (Jennifer Tillock)

Beyond the Gallows (soon to be released)

Wow, that was a very smooth read. I really enjoyed it and was left wanting more. Over all the story flowed and was very easy to read. I enjoyed the main character and his unique outlook on life. Very interested to see what else happens with his new lease on life.

This was such a joy to read, it had that concept that I look for in a supernatural western. It had that dark theme to it and the old west elements that worked together well. I thought the characters had that charm to them and worked in this historical setting. Christine Tellach wrote this perfectly and am glad I got to read this.

Safety and Self-Advocacy Scenarios

This worked really well to help my client learn to use his words when needing help instead of lashing out violently. We worked through scenarios that he often experienced and now he has the tools to navigate those situations in a more positive way.

These scenarios were a great addition to our unit on self-advocacy. I used them for small group discussions, with my adult students working on adult living skills. The scenarios were mostly written for school (Middle, high school) students. I was able to find several that could apply to older learners and found the scenarios to be thought provoking and helped to generate some good conversations.

Helpful resource. Sometimes difficult to find resources on this topic for this age-group that deals with scenarios related to recognizing situations where you are in danger or being taken advantage of, so appreciate the options!

Thank you for this resource! It was exactly what I was looking for, and it helped my student understand that there are different ways to ask for help depending on the situation.

I am still accessing these scenarios. I can apply them to various lesson plans that I am having my students work on. Whether it be an entry task journal response or acting out the scenario in a student-derived skit. It is fantastic.

I use this as a resource for my students with executive functioning difficulties to talk about how they can ask for help in different scenarios.

Mrs. Speech Books

Great book. Might be a little long for primary, but gives the exact message we were looking for.
